About Me

This is my 12th year working in the Exceptional Education Department for Monroe County Schools, as I have loved teaching unique strategies to help struggling learners. Since moving out of the classroom, I enjoy bridging the relationships between school and families to best serve our students with disabilities as the Case Manager at Tellico Plains Elementary and Rural Vale Elementary. I also enjoy serving as the cheer coach at TPES! Let's go, Cubs!

I have always had a love of learning and feel blessed to foster that in the classroom. I graduated from Lee University in 2009 and have taught in Thailand, Idaho, and then settled back home in Tennessee. I also have my Master’s in Youth and Family Ministry and am currently enrolled at Vanderbilt University in the Special Education Master’s Program, focusing on Visual Impairments.

I have been married to the best chef around for 8 years. We have four spunky children: Khloey-Anne, Addalynn, and our twins, Everett and Ellyanna. We enjoy serving together in ministry, traveling, baking, and sports. I am originally from Louisiana, so I am huge LSU fan. When I grow up, I want to retire and work at Disney World.
